Why The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Is Officially The Scariest Bridge In The U.S.

The major dual-span bridge was built back in 1952, in the state of Maryland. Why are people so scared of it? Have you ever stopped by and looked down? Because of its height, the narrow spans, and incredibly low guardrails, it’s officially one of the scariest bridges in the world, not just the U.S.!

Truckers and tall vehicles literally hate crossing this 6.9 km bridge built over water. There often is a lot of traffic congestion on the bridge, no matter which side you approach it from. Moreover, huge ships pass through it, so it just adds up to the excitement! Have you ever passed this bridge? Is it really that scary? Let us know!
